GRAND RAPIDS (Mich.) – A Grand Rapids-based global tech firm that’s leading the wholesale business-to-business space is now named Envoy, taking the name of its largest and most successful service. Envoy was formerly Appropos.
“We’re proudly calling our company Envoy, in honor of the platform that has helped us grow, expand into international markets and achieve success,” Envoy CEO and founder Jon Faber said. “We felt it was only appropriate that our name reflect our signature service and as the authority in B2B wholesale, Envoy will strive to continue our leadership in this critical space. Our partners and others in the B2B sector will be seeing and reading more about Envoy – the company – and what we’re doing to help businesses grow, using our innovative technology and creative services solutions.”
Three years in the making, Envoy’s signature platform is designed as an iPad app and a responsive Web Application, allowing sales reps and retailers to place orders, check inventory in real time, create line sheets, display product in 360-degrees, and more.
Envoy’s platform is growing globally because it gives clients a full suite of services, including hosting, upgrades, integration, implementation, training and rollout are all part of a single package. The result is faster, more strategic sales between manufacturer and retailer. Conventional business-to-business interactions often still include hand-written orders, made over a phone or fax. Where these outmoded transactions can take hours, Envoy’s platform empowers businesses to complete highly accurate, complex orders within just a few minutes.
