Envoy B2B makes it easy to manage orders from reps or buyers who prefer to use Microsoft® Excel to handle their transactions.
Having to manage orders between Excel and a brand's B2B system is a common scenario in the apparel, footwear, and accessories markets that creates two major challenges:
- With products and catalogs changing regularly, how does a brand keep Excel files up-to-date?
- Once an Excel file is filled out, how do orders get placed? Does a brand have to re-key the order?
These challenges are quickly overcome inside of Envoy B2B. Our robust order management dashboard simplifies the process of exporting an up-to-date Excel order form, and cleanly importing the final file without the need for a brand to step in and manage any portion of the process.
How Does It Work?
In the Order Dashboard, there is an option to export an order form. Users select the customer from the drop down menu which ensures the order form will have a correct list of products, with the right customer info and pricing. All the data is synchronized inside Envoy B2B, ensuring the Excel order form is accurate and up-to-date.
The order form shows all of the available products in the selected catalog, along with a space to add product quantity. Once the Excel order form is filled out, it is imported back into the Order Dashboard. Users can now make any final adjustments to the product list or item quantities, and then submit the final order.
If a sales rep has multiple Excel order forms to upload after being out on the road all day, they can handle order placement in a matter of minutes.
B2B Adoption
Most brands would prefer their reps and buyers work directly in the B2B system to generate and submit orders. But, this hybrid approach is a powerful tool for a few reasons:
- It gives people options when working with their customers.
- It’s a great transition to using the B2B platform. Once users see the power, they may find themselves using Excel less, and the built-in order management system more often.
